Yesterday we began a new series in the Book of Ephesians. I’m so excited to go through this book with you as one of my last series at Grace. Discovering You will take a look at who we are because of grace – defining ourselves not through external characteristics, behaviors, or cultural boxes, but through the viewpoint of God himself.

Yesterday’s message is available here: Blessed Beyond Belief. It’ s also available on our “Listen In” page or our Facebook page.

Next Sunday, June 14, we’ll be MEETING IN THE BUILDING! I can’t wait to see you there! The Leadership Team has been working to put some temporary measures in place to make sure we do not spread the virus any further. Here is what you can expect on Sunday . . .

Things we won’t be doing:

  • We will not shake hands, hug, etc.

  • We will not have our “meet and greet” time.

  • We will not serve food or drink.

  • We will not distribute bulletins.

  • There will be no Nursery or Kids Church, and children will need to be with their parents at all times.

  • We will not be singing, at least for a few more weeks.

Things we will be doing:

  • We will only use one entrance/exit, and the doors will be open, weather permitting.

  • We will maintain a distance of six feet apart.

  • When seated, we will only sit in a row with family members with whom we share a home.

  • Seats will be staggered so that we sit no closer than 10 feet from the person in front of us.

  • We will encourage wearing masks.

  • We will have hand sanitizer available at several locations in the building.

  • We will have a team of people assigned to clean the restrooms and door hardware several times before, during, and after the service.

  • We will exit by rows.

We know that not everyone will want to rush back to have services in the building. If you have any vulnerability or your immunity is compromised, we want you to take a few more weeks to decide if you should attend worship at the church. I’ve decided that, since there are several people who have been watching our live-stream each week who cannot attend our services, I will continue to do a “premiere” video that will show up on our Facebook page at 10:30 am. You can also catch a live audio stream of our service on Sunday mornings, just click on the “Listen In” tab.

We’re still looking for crew members to help with the sanitation needs on Sundays. If you’d be willing to help, please let me know.

Thank you so much for your patience, your prayers, and your faithfulness during this tough time. We have been tested, tried, and we’ve made it to the other end of this season, with God’s help. Our nation is in turmoil, and we need desperately to re-unite in worship, fellowship, and the love that marks God’s family.

Grace to you!

Pastor Ron
